A monument to myself
I’m not big on titles, but there are a couple of titles that appeal to my vanity. One of them is “senior fellow.” Anybody with an opinion not a bit better than mine can be a senior fellow at the Advanced Thinkology Institute in Washington, D.C. He might be a real knot head, but he’s a senior fellow.
Effective today, I am the senior fellow at This Just In!
The other title that piques my ego is being a college professor whose salary is paid by some rich guy. They say his “chair is endowed.” I have a great recliner, but it’s not endowed.
Effective today I am the “E. B. White Professor of Deep Thoughts” at This Just In! College. I have the blog. The college will come later.
I think this move satisfies my need for titles. I am relieved to have this out of the way.
