On being a follower

img005This blog has more than 400 “followers.” I rarely receive more than an occasional “like” on my posts. There are more than 700 posts.

This raises the question for me what is a follower, and are there expectations that apply to that role? Does a declared follower have any obligations? My interpretation is that a follower might offer comments, insights, or an alternative point of view. A follower is not required to do this, of course, but considering the various ways to participate might be helpful to the follower.

I think we are currently going through a crisis in male courage. Assessing our role as followers might be a start to exploring our role as leaders.
