Phyllis and Hal asked me if I would photograph them naked as part of their celebration of fifty years of marriage. I said yes. Our favorite photo from the shoot was inspired by a photo of my own wife and me that hangs prominently in our house. The pose was the work of our dear friend Jim Macari.
The new version turned out well, and we all chose it as our favorite among the 87 images I presented to them. They gave me permission to publish the more conservative images.
They are bright spirits, and in our wounded society they really stand out. It was a fun assignment for me.
My advice to my readers is to have fun, and to give yourself permission.
